Founder | Medical Director
Dr. Christopher Dowding is the founder and medical director of Cusp Medical Aesthetics. He ensures that patients are treated to the standard of care required and that they are medically fit to receive treatment.
Dr. Dowding was born and raised in Scarborough. He completed his undergraduate degree at McMaster University (Hon. Bachelor of Art & Science Combined with Biology) and attended medical school at Western University. He subsequently completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Ottawa. He has two orthopedic fellowships, completing an Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction fellowship in Ottawa and a Lower Extremity Reconstruction fellowship in Toronto.
Dr. Dowding is a certified specialist of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He practices in North Bay as an orthopedic surgeon. His interests include primary hip and knee arthroplasty, revision hip and knee arthroplasty, knee hemiarthroplasty, knee arthroscopy, and forefoot reconstruction (limited).
Dr. Christopher Dowding has completed his medical aesthetics training and mentoring through THMA Consulting Inc., a Canadian-accredited program. He has a solid foundation in anatomy, biology, and surgical principles.
